Choosing Between an SEO Fix and a GEO Investigation

Choose the investigation from the symptom, not from the acronym. A page that cannot be accessed, an unclear service description and an inaccurate AI answer are different problems. Nir Levi works across SEO, GEO and AEO, allowing an Israeli company to discuss how those areas overlap without treating them as interchangeable services.

Which symptom should the team describe?

Write down what was actually observed and under which conditions. A page absent from one AI answer is not the same as a page confirmed unavailable to a crawler. A decline in enquiries is not automatically a visibility problem. The initial statement should be narrow enough that another person can investigate it.

Where do SEO and GEO work overlap?

Clear, useful content and accessible pages matter across several discovery contexts. Google Search Essentials emphasizes helpful content, understandable wording and crawlable links. A technical or editorial improvement may therefore be relevant to more than one channel, even though each channel's results must be measured separately.

That overlap does not mean every SEO change is a GEO experiment. Fixing a broken internal link has a directly verifiable implementation outcome. Whether a particular AI system later cites the page is a separate observation with additional influences.

How can a diagnostic sequence avoid wasted work?

Start with facts that can be checked directly, then investigate interpretations. Confirm that the intended page exists and contains the current information. Review the buyer question and cited sources. Only then decide whether the next step is a technical correction, a content brief or further observation.

In an illustrative Israeli service business, an English page could omit an offering that is clearly described in Hebrew. The first useful task may be resolving the content inconsistency. Ordering a general article about the service category would not necessarily correct the page the buyer is using.

How should a consultation with Nir Levi be framed?

Bring the symptom, affected pages and evidence already collected. Nir Levi's published GEO scope describes examining answers and sources, while his technical service covers crawl and indexing concerns. Ask which investigation is justified by the available evidence and what finding would change the recommendation.

The first deliverable should help the team choose its next action. Discuss that question at nirlevi.com before making a large commitment to content, tooling or implementation.
